St. Vincent has another surprise for us just less than a month after announcing her upcoming album, Daddy’s Home. The Dallas-based singer has shared the second single from the album, titled “The Melting of the Sun,” co-produced with Jack Antonoff, lead singer of indie-pop band Bleachers. Antonoff also provided various instrumentations for the song. On top of that, the single also features Kenya Hathaway and Lynne Fiddmont on backing vocals and Doveman on the organ.

The upcoming album is expected to be released on May 14th via Loma Vista. Last month, St. Vincent released the “Pay Your Way in Pain” along with a visual video. Fans have also been treated to a few Saturday Night Live performances from St. Vincent, including an upcoming performance on the show on April 3, 2021, hosted by Daniel Kaluuya.
