Arctic Monkeys In The Early Stages Of Making A New Album

Artic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has revealed the band is currently in the early stages of working on a new album. Speaking on Instagram live, Helders stated that the Sheffield band had been “faced with the obvious obstacles” while working on the follow-up to ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’. “We’re all eager to do it – we would have been doing it by now in a normal time.” Holder’s added “There’s definitely a desire from our end to do a new record as soon as we can.”

Helders was photographed in a recording studio this past October, sparking speculation that new music from the group was on the way. Additionally, last month, the bands manager stated that they we’re “working on new music”.

The band recently released a live album from a 2018 show they played at Royal Albert Hall and filed for a license to host three shows at Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park this June.
