Coldplay have just released a surprise new bonus track from their latest album ‘Everyday Life’. The new track ‘Flags’ deals with living up to expectations. The group tweeted out, “We love this song but by the time it came along the spaces on Everyday Life had been filled and we had to socially distance it. Thankyou for all the ways you’ve supported us this year. We love & appreciate you more than you could know.”
The band’s eighth studio album, Everyday Life, was released in Nov. 2019. The double-album was split into two parts, “Sunrise” and “Sunset,” and was preceded by the singles “Orphans” and “Arabesque.” The album came suddenly and somewhat unexpectedly to many fans as the group had hinted that their previous album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ would be their last.
