The Fiery Furnaces, a Brooklyn-based indie rock band, formed in 2000, announced a tour with Fred Armisen. Last year, siblings Eleanor and Matthew Friedberger released “Down at the So and So on Somewhere,” the band’s first song in 11 years. The single was released on a physical 7″, featuring “The Fortune Teller’s Revenge” on the B-side. The new song is now being digitally released, which you can see below, along with the tour dates.
“We’re very excited to be playing again, to get a chance to do new things with old stuff, or old things with new people,” the Friedbergers said in a press release. “And we’re very happy to have Fred opening the shows. We’ll be six on stage, joined by: Brian Betancourt, Noah Hecht, Emily Lee, and Cameron Wisch.”
