Garbage, the alternative-rock band from Wisconsin, is back with the announcement of their sixth studio album, No Gods No Masters, out on June 11 via Stunvolume/Infectious Music. This is their first studio album in exactly five years, with Strange Little Birds being released on June 10, 2016. Fans have been blessed with a few singles since then, including “Empty,” “No Horses,” and “Starman.”

On top of that, the band also released a new single from the upcoming album, “The Men Who Rule the World.” With all of this, fans can expect a tour announcement sometime soon. Garbage was set to tour with Alanis Morisette and Liz Phair last year but was forced to cancel due to COVID-19.

“This is our seventh record, the significant numerology of which affected the DNA of its content: the seven virtues, the seven sorrows, and the seven deadly sins,” said lead singer Shirley Manson. “It was our way of trying to make sense of how fucking nuts the world is and the astounding chaos we find ourselves in. It’s the record we felt that we had to make at this time.”
