Future Islands Announce They’ve Already Begun Work On New Album

Future Islands have confirmed via social media that they’ve already begun working on their seventh studio album. The group released their sixth album As Long As You Are this past October after releasing their fifth album The Far Field back in 2017.

Sharing a picture on instagram of the Baltimore group in the studio, the band added the caption “Back in the studio… #LP7”.

The group has managed to stay busy the last few months, performing their song ‘Plastic Beach’ off their latest album on Late Night with Seth Meyers last week, which you can watch below. The band also remixed the National frontman Matt Berninger’s solo song ‘One More Second’ back in November. Berninger stated of the remix “Every time I put on Future Islands my impression of the human condition improves. Their remix of ‘One More Second’ kills me.”
