Phoebe Bridgers was performing at Austin City Limit, weekend 2, last Saturday, when her set was abruptly cut short. The singer-songwriter was in the middle of playing “I Know the End” from her recently released album, Punisher, when the sound went out, and the crowd began to boo. Following the festival, Bridgers tweeted “lol fuck acl,” publically expressing her frustration with the situation. In response, the festival has shared an apology through the Austin American Statesman. Austin City Limits have also agreed to donate to Texas Abortion Funds, which Bridgers had supported during the set. You can read the statement and see the video below.

“Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication on stage by ACL Festival personnel, the sound on the final song of (the) Phoebe Bridgers set was cut off during her ACL Fest weekend two performance,” reads the statement. “We wish this had not happened and extended our apologies to Phoebe. After positive conversations between festival organizers and the artist about the situation, ACL Fest has made a donation to Texas Abortion Funds to show our support for Phoebe and an organization close to her heart.”
