Nine Inch Nails has unfortunately canceled the remainder of their 2021 tour, likely due to concerns over COVID-19. The band was scheduled to perform two headlining shows with Pixies in Cleveland in September. They were also scheduled to headline Riot Fest 2021 (September 16-19), Louder Than Life (September 23-26), and Welcome To Rockville (November 11-14). Riot Fest was forced to rearrange its lineup for the cancellation, while Louder Than Life and Welcome to Rockville will be sending emails to single-day purchasers within 72 hours. Nine Inch Nails hopes to return to the road by 2022.
“When originally planned, these shows were intended to be a cathartic return to live music,” the band said in a tweet. “However, with each passing day, it’s becoming more apparent we’re not at that place yet. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment and look forward to seeing you again when the time is right.”
