The Black Keys’ Delta Kream was brought to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on release day, May 15th. The group played two tracks from the album: ‘Crawling Kingsnake’ and ‘Going Down South’. ‘Crawling Kingsnake’ (originally by John Lee Hooker) and ‘Going Down South’ (originally by R.L. Burnside) are the band’s updated versions, which bring back that historic taste of Mississippi blues music. Watch the live performances below.

NME’s Rhys Buchanan reviewed the album with, “The Black Keys’ hallmark soulful swagger is all over the reclined record, largely because the songs are so closely aligned with their own crunchy blues-rock.”
