Summerfest, the largest music festival in the United States, has announced its lineup after having to cancel for the first time in its 53-year history. Some highlights from the lineup include Dave Matthews Band, Wilco, Pixies, and Rise Against. The Milwaukee music festival will kick off the weekend of Sept. 2 to 4, followed by Sept. 9 to 11 and Sept. 16 to 18. The festival normally occurs across 11 days, but new restrictions have forced organizers to restructure the festival.

Other bands included in the lineup include Joan Jett and the Blackehearts, 311, Fitz and the Tantrums, Dirty Heads, Black Pumas, REO Speedwagon, The Struts, Cold War Kids, ex-Talking Heads member Jerry Harrison, Styx, Missio, Candlebox, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Night Ranger, Queensrÿche, Liz Phair, Buckcherry, Hinder, KennyHoopla, Filter, Living Colour, Future Islands, Everclear, and O.A.R.

“We could not be more excited to unveil the lineup for Summerfest and introduce a new festival format; more weekends and more headliners, promises to be a big hit among our fans,” Milwaukee World Festival President and CEO Don Smiley said. “From first timers, including Chance the Rapper, Miley Cyrus, and Run the Jewels, to Fest favorites including Dave Matthews Band, T-Pain, Styx, and Chris Stapleton, our lineup continues to be one of the most diverse and unique in the industry.”
