Swedish singer-songwriter José González has announced a two-month tour at the end of this year, alongside Rufus Wainwright, called the ‘Unfollow The Rules In The Local Valley Tour.’ The duo will hit the road starting in Kansas City, Mo. on Sept. 20 and run through the midwest and northwest until October. This tour supports his new album, Local Valley, which is due Sept. 17 via Mute. On top of that announcement, González has also shared a new music video for their previously released single, “Visions,” directed by Mikel Cee Karlson. Check out the tour dates and music video below.
“The video is made (mostly) through animated images from Google Earth.” Karlson said in a statement, “It was the best way I could think of to get the right perspective, scale, and atmosphere for a song like ‘Visions’—a way to visualize the vast beauty and absurdity of the human condition; the constant natural changes and the impact of the human race; the good the bad and the ugly. Utopian dreams, greed and hope, all linked together on a little blue rock in space.”
