Coldplay are reportedly working on a new album which will be called ‘Music Of The Spheres’.
According to The Sun, someone close to the four piece band has confirmed that they have been recording new music throughout the pandemic, which will be released as their ninth studio album.
“Chris and co. have been dropping hints for a while but now it’s finally getting off the ground,” the source said. “They’ve been busy working on new music during lockdown and it’ll all culminate in the record, which has the working title Music Of The Spheres.”
The source also stated that the group have trademarked the reported name.
Coldplay have been dropping hints about an upcoming album for some time now. Within their Everyday Life vinyl, the phrase “Music Of The Spheres” was printed in the center with a caption underneath, which read: “Coldplay coming soon.”
There has not been any official release date announced, and representatives from Coldplay have declined to comment on the breaking story, but according to the source, fans should expect new music sooner rather than later.
